Volunteering

Can you give 2 hours a week?

Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind is an award-winning place to volunteer. We were honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – the MBE for charities – in 2018, which recognises the fantastic work that our volunteers do.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Resource Centre: we just couldn’t achieve any of the great things we do without them. As we expand we need more.

We really need people to help out with:-

  • Minibus Drivers
  • Creative Writing group,
  • Craft Club,
  • Devices Workshop
  • IT sessions,
  • The Walking group
  • The charity shop in Earlsdon.

We especially need minibus drivers to help us bring people to the centre.

As we add new activities, more opportunities will arise.

If you can give us 2 hours a week, it will make a big difference to blind and partially sighted people across Coventry. Whatever skills you have, all we really need is friendliness and empathy. And the benefit is not just one-way – this is a place full of joy and laughter, a real community, and our volunteers tend to stay a long time.

Click on the link to complete the online volunteer application form: when you’ve submitted it one of our friendly staff will be in contact and invite you in for a chat about how you can help.

We look forward to meeting you. !
