Coventry VISTA – Tandem Cycling

A visually impaired ‘stoker’ on the rear seat of a tandem bike, with a sighted ‘pilot’ leaning alongside

Coventry VISTA (Visually Impaired & Sighted Tandem Association) is a separate charity that operates out of its own garage at the Resource Centre. It gives visually impaired people the opportunity to cycle on the open road and to increase their social circle. Sighted pilots at the front guide visually impaired stokers at the rear.

The season runs from April to September and rides take place twice a month on a Tuesday evening – usually to a pub and back – with occasional social events organised at other times.

If you are interested in joining VISTA as a pilot or stoker, please contact club secretary Clive Rayner on 07767 156056.
